Colzium House pond
This pond was converted from an earlier square plan curling pond. The curling pond was dug between 1856 and 1896 – The time when curling was at its height of popularity in Scotland
Banton Loch
Also known as Townhead Reservoir and created in the 1770s as a water supply for the Forth and Clyde canal
One of the many waterfalls in Colzium Glen
Having walked up Colzium Glen our group are ready to walk along the Tak-Ma-Doon Road towards Tomtain
A few of our group at the 453m trig. point on Tomtain
The clouds lifted, very briefly, and we had a view of the Carron reservoir while walking from Tomtain to Garrell Hill
The path between Tomtain and Garrel Hill was easy to follow but very wet and boggy
The Garrel Burn was in spate
As we couldn’t cross the burn to the track on far side we had to divert from our planned route
Laird’s Loup waterfall was very spectacular
