Taking a break part way up the steep ascent at the beginning of our walk to Earl’s Seat
Continuing the ascent and contouring round a rocky outcrop above Strathblane
Level ground at last – we pause for a brief rest on Slack Dhu
Our lunch stop was the summit of Earl’s Seat with an extensive view over Balfron and Flanders Moss

As we returned towards Dumgoyne we had a view of Loch Lomond beyond Killearn
A final short but steep climb brought us to the summit of Dumgoyne – The last hill of the day
Leaving Dumgoyne we followed the track to Cantywheery Cottage and passed this waterfall before joining the pipe-track back to Strathblane
