A damp start to the walk as we approach Sallochy Bay from Rowardennan

The second half of the walk was to the Ardess Hidden History Trail
This National Trust for Scotland trail visits the long-abandoned community of Ardess and explains the remaining visible evidence of past occupation.
Here we see a reconstructed cruck frame building
The timber frame supported the roof from the ground, and the walls were made from turf and earth on a stone base.
