We had a steady climb from the car park at Rowardennan but paused for a group photograph soon after leaving the forest behind
The view south over Loch Lomond and across the islands opened-up as we climbed
As we approached the Ptarmigan Ridge the weather started to close-in
Our target for the walk – The summit of Ben Lomond
Before tackling the final 240 m to the summit of Ben Lomond we had lunch at the lochan on the Ptarmigan Ridge
