Our first view of Ben A’an as we climbed above the oak forest from Loch Achray

As we continued the climb the light rain changed to light snow almost obscuring the view back to Loch Achray

We encountered some shallow patches of snow on the summit of Ben A’an where we paused for a short break

Our descent to Loch Katrine was more arduous than the ascent due to the ground conditions

Our group pausing before commencing the steep final descent to Loch Katrine

Although there was a path to Loch Katrine it was very boggy and frequently obstructed by trees

At last! We reached the private road along Loch Katrine and had our lunch

The remaining walk back to the car park was mostly alongside Loch Katrine. The summit of Ben Venue with a light covering of snow can be seen beyond the loch
