A brief pause while walking along the Three Lochs Way soon after leaving Tarbet
Our morning break was taken in a small clearing on a path from Arrochar to Tarbet, at the foot of Cruach Tairbeirt
Soon after tea we passed above Arrochar and Tarbet Station and could see Loch Lomond
The final fifty metres to the summit of Cruach Tairbeirt was very steep and devoid of any path
Despite the low cloud, the view from the summit was impressive with Loch Lomond, Loch Long and Loch Sloy all visible. Here we see Loch Lomond
We had lunch just beyond the summit, sheltering from the wind, but returned to the summit for our group photograph
Our return to Tarbet was via the traditional route through the yet-to-be-felled forest
