Our walk started with a gentle climb along a forest track

We paused for our morning break at the base of Tom a’ Bhothain, where we enjoyed an unobstructed view of Beinn Ruadh and the distinctive ridge we planned to traverse later

After our break it was a steep climb to the northern summit of Sligrachan Hill

This is the view we had over Loch Long, the Rosneath Peninsula and Ardmore Point from the northern summit of Sligrachan Hill

Some of our group setting off for Sligrachan Hill's southern summit, marked by the large cairn visible in the distance

We passed this small lochan as we walked along the knobbly ridge from Sligrachan Hill to Beinn Ruadh
