Near the bottom of the 360m ascent to Auchengaich Hill
As we climbed the view opened up to reveal Auchengaich Reservoir but we soon entered the cloud and lost the view
Finally, at the summit of Auchengaich Hill but can you see the summit marker?

A brief, very brief, break in the mist allowed us to look down on Faslane and Garelochhead

The smiles belie the fact that there was a bitterly cold wind blowing here.
We emerged from the mist as we descended and the reservoir could, again, be seen in the distance
