From Todholes follow access tracks first to Cringate Law and then to Hart Hill before descending to Earlsburn reservoir No.1 and joining a further track past Earlsburn reservoir No.2 and a minor road back to Todholes

The transmitter here was initially built in 1957 as part of the North Atlantic air and sea defence system known as DECTRA. The site now hosts transmitters for VHF FM radio, DAB radio and cell phones.
