From New Lanark, head north along the east side of the River Clyde to Kirkfieldbank. Cross the River Clyde and follow the west bank of the river past Corra Linn, Corra Castle and Bonnington Linn to Bonnington weir. Cross the River Clyde again and head north along the east bank of the river, back to New Lanark.

Completed in 1699 and replaced in 1959 although still used by pedestrians.

Corra Castle
A 16th century tower house and courtyard also known as Corrax, Corax or Corehouse Castle. It was originally the property of Kelso Abbey but later occupied by John Bannatyne – notable for his implication in the murder of Lord Darnley in 1567. It is now home to three species of bats (Daubenton's, Natterer's, and whiskered)

In the foreground can be seen the Foundry and Mechanics’ workshop. The three-storey building beyond is the school and behind is Institute for the Formation of character. Also visible, through the trees, are the mills – the key to New Lanark
