The new bridge over the Keltie Water at Bracklinn Falls
The new bridge, opened earlier this year, is made from ‘weathering’ steel which gives it its distinctive rusty colour. The material was selected due to its longevity – giving up to 120 years design life. The new bridge replaced the bridge installed in 2010 which had to be removed due to deterioration of the timber.

The building is the power house for the Keltie Water hydro-electric scheme and contains a single 1MW turbine.
Walking towards Arivurichardich
The name may be an anglicisation of Airigh mhor a Chairdeach, meaning the big sheiling of the smithy. The farmhouse can be seen in the distance nestling below Meall Odhar.
Arivurichardich Reservoir
The dam was constructed after 1945 but increased in height by 300mm as part of the Keltie Water hydro-electric scheme in 2015.
