Soon after leaving the car park we had this view of Loch Thom
After leaving the surfaced track to Whitelees Cottage we followed a muddy track to Corlick Hill.
There was more mud as we ascended Corlick Hill.
We stopped for tea on the summit of Corlick Hill. Although it was quite cloudy we could see both Gryfe Reservoirs.
Gryfe Reservoir No. 1 was hidden by the hillside as we descended from Corlick Hill but we could see Gryfe Reservoir No. 2.

Construction of the Gryfe Reservoirs was completed in 1872 and they are still primarily used to provide Greenock with drinking water.
