A brief discussion before starting the ascent to the summit of Tinto, which can be seen in the distance
Almost at the summit after the unbroken 500 m climb
Not a trig. point but a view indicator on the summit of Tinto
The trig. point is 4 m lower and 60 m west of this view indicator
The view from the summit is wonderful - this is the view looking north
Scaut Hill which is 125 m lower than Tinto has a much smaller cairn
We followed a grassy track off Scaut Hill towards Kirk Burn
We had an afternoon tea break sheltering under Scots Pine Trees before returning to the car park
