We had a pleasant, if damp and windy ascent, onto the Gargunnock Hills via the track from Hillhead Farm
Once at the top of the escarpments we had a clear view over Gargunnock Village and Blairdrummond Moss
Lunch in the shelter at the trig. point on the summit of Carleatheran
Looking south from Carleatheran to Earlsburn Reservoir and the Earlsburn wind turbines
Crossing the windswept grassy muir after lunch
Our return route took us past Downie’s Loup waterfall and along the Gargunnock Burn to Gargunnock
