At the start of the walk we climbed through woodland onto Callander Craig
The highest point on our walk was the cairn on Callander Craig
This cairn was erected in 1897 to celebrate the Diamond Jubilee of Queen Victoria. The cairn eventually collapsed but was re-erected, together with the original inscribed, polished granite plaque, by the Callander Round Table in 1997. Note the white quartz top to the pyramidal cairn.

Descending through the deciduous woodland to Brackland Glen

After lunch we followed the course of the Keltie Water and had this final view of the Bracklinn Falls
Although the route was now fairly level there were still some obstacles to negotiate
We returned to Callander by walking alongside the River Teith
