Dunrod Hill and Corlick Hill

After a short but steep climb we could see Dunrod Hill ahead as we climbed over a stile

Descending from Hillside Hill, our second hill, and on our way to our third hill, Scroggy Bank
We had our morning break on Scroggy Hill and enjoyed the view looking over Greenock to Kilcreggan and beyond
The cairn on Hillside Hill was clearly visible as we walked along the shore of Loch Thom heading towards the Old Largs Road and Corlick Hill
The Inverclyde wind farm dominated the horizon as we approached Corlick Hill
Corlick Hill is visible on the left. The Inverclyde wind farm consists of eight turbines, each standing 110 m. tall, and has a capacity of 24MW. The planning application had been rejected by Inverclyde Council, but was then appealed to the Scottish Government.

Heading back to the Greenock Cut Visitors’ Centre we passed Gryfe Reservoir No. 1 and could see the visitor centre in the far distance
