We could see Beinn Odhar ahead as we left the West Highland Way and hoped that the cloud would lift
It was a steady and unbroken climb to Beinn Odhar but we had our morning tea break before entering the cloud
The final climb to the summit crossed a boulder field and we kept close together because of the thickening cloud
Despite the large number of rocks on the ground the summit cairn was very modest

The weather forecast told of improving weather in the afternoon and soon after leaving the summit the first breaks in the cloud could be seen
As we descended and the weather continued to improve we had a good view of Tyndrum with Beinn Dubhcraig gradually emerging from the mist
The cloud lifted from the summit of Beinn Dorain as we joined the West Highland Way near the end of the walk
