Initially we had a steep climb up a path which had turned into a small burn
The ascent eased when we reached a forest track through the trees
We eventually reached a clearing and could see the Loch Sloy Reservoir dam with Ben Vane on the left and Ben Vorlich on the right, both shrouded in cloud
Initially the walk was through trees and we took the opportunity to have our morning tea break at one of the few clearings
After crossing the Allt Coiregrogain at the Gleann Leacann Sheileach dam we left the forest behind and had a view of the eastern slope of Beinn Ime
We used a disused civil engineering feature to provide a flat seat for lunch
Bealach a’ Mhaim can be seen at the top right of the picture
Our walk finished with a walk along the Loch Long shore between Arrochar and Succoth
