We climbed away from Killearn through Kirkhouse Wood onto the open muir
Here we see Killearn and in the far distance, Conic Hill
Our morning tea break was taken when we joined the ATV track from High Lettre leading to Dumfoyn
After tea we had a steady but gentle climb to Dumfoyn
We reached the summit of Dumfoyn and had a brief pause before descending for lunch
Before leaving the summit we admired the view of the adjacent Dumgoyne – only one metre higher than Dumfoyn but much more rocky

Although the burn was small there were several spectacular waterfalls – Dumfoyn and Dumgoyne can be seen in the background
