The West Highland Way is very picturesque as it clings to the banks of Loch Lomond

 

We enjoyed our morning break in the sunshine at Rubha Curraichd

 

After the break we had views across Loch Lomond to The Cobbler and Beinn Narnain

The Japanese have a penchant for moss gardens – they should visit the West of Scotland. Here we see the moss-covered remains of a 19th century farmstead at Rowchoish

Returning to Rowardennan involved climbing all the staircases we had descended a few hours earlier
