Climbing away from Lochgoilhead along the Cowal Way
After walking for an hour and having put half the climb to the summit behind us we stopped for a short break
Leaving the forest behind we had extensive views of the surrounding hills. Here we are looking west to Stob na Boine Druim-fhinn
The summit cairn provided a welcome sight as we neared the summit of Cnoc Coinnich

There was an excellent panoramic view from the summit. Here we are looking south down the Firth of Clyde with Loch Long, Gare Loch and Loch Goil clearly visible
As we returned to Lochgoilhead we passed The Steeple. The option to climb this rocky outcrop was taken by a some but not all members of the group
From the summit of The Steeple there was a good view up Allt Coire Odhair to the Cobbler
