The ascent from Fintry rose steeply towards Dunmore Fort
There is very little sign of a Fort, but a large cairn marks the site

The ground conditions made for heavy going as we crossed towards the Corrie
Despite the gloomy forecast, we had excellent views throughout the day
We found a sheltered spot near the Corrie for our morning break
