We had a steady climb onto the Kilsyth Hills but were rewarded with an extensive view to the south
Birkenburn Reservoir was a pleasant place for our morning tea stop
Locally known as Johnnie’s Dam it was built in 1830 to regulate the flow of water to the summit level of the Forth & Clyde Canal.
